Every Big Five National Park in Utah is awesome, but Arches is my favorite. There’s something magical about the ascent up to the lunar-like Mesa, passing crumbling and gravity-defying rock sculptures, and you haven’t even reached the actual park yet. When you reach the top, things get real. Today, I’m posting our first pass through the park and our hike on the trail that loops around the Windows parking area. Plus, I’m including our detour to Delicate Arch, the most iconic park arch.
The North Window is massive.
Spring in Moab.
Delicate Arch.
Stay tuned for much more from Moab!
I won the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award for Science Fiction!
Hello,
Arches is one of my favorite parks too, Bryce is another Utah park I love.
Beautiful landscapes photos, great sighting of the Meadowlark. A beautiful bird.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post.
Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week!
Wonderful captures of the arches.
Congratulations on the award! How fantastic! And I would love to visit that part of the country again. Maybe some day!
I’d hoped to go to Arches but the pandemic got in the way, and I went on other trips – we need to reschedule!

And of course, I enjoyed again this Post. I don’t know the Arches, it’s an interesting landscape. Hope, we can travel there one Day. Thank you for sharing.

Spectacular! I love arches, and someday I need to get there. Top 5 on my bucket list!
such a great park. I would love to visit it once more.
Great pictures! Both magical and mysterious. Hope to visit soon!
I agree with you about Arches. It’s some kind of special. I wish to return and spend a lot more time exploring its nooks and crannies. Thanks for sharing.
Worth a Thousand Words
Wow – what remarkable colours. It’s similar to Central Australia – but we don’t have the arches!

I love Arches too, but Zion was my favorite in Utah. The Delicate Arch trail was quite the challenge, especially if you hike it in the heat of the day like we did, but wow, what a trail!
