Bonnet House Museum & Gardens

Don't miss this Florida highlight near Fort Lauderdale.

Bonnet House was once the home of wealthy artists Evelyn and Clay Frederic Bartlett. You’ll see their art strewn around the house. The grounds are stunning, filled with flowers, haunting trees, and wildlife. But you’ll also find wild things inside the home, like crazy monkey statues and carnival figures. Kitschy and beautiful objects sit together like mismatched dime store salt and pepper shakers. This wacky place is a must-see in Fort Lauderdale.

Follow my paws…

What do we have here?

Surprise!

The swan painting was my favorite piece by Clay Bartlett.

Look closely to see the bird in the hand backwards and forwards.

Dinner is served by the creepiest monkey ever!

So fierce!

Four walls of bleached coral and shells. I was mezmerized.

Mosaic Monday. See you next week!

  1. What a fun place to visit. The art work is cool. I loved all the art critters. The Green Heron is a great sighting too. They are one of my many favorite birds to see. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
