It’s November, and I’m in Florida. But Flovember is over because I’m not going home in December. Yay! I’ve always hated the cold. It’s even cold in Florida this morning. But since it’s warming up to a balmy 84 degrees, I guess I’m finally in the right place. It never stays cold for long when you’re this far south. I’m in Naples, in case you’re wondering. If you miss the exit to Wildcat Run (my new condo casa), you’ll end up on the other side of the state, in Miami, because there’s nothing but alligators and the Everglades if you stay on I-75. So please don’t get lost and follow my feet…

My new backyard! Stay tuned and don’t miss one sunset.

Dear Sharon,
I am completely enchanted by your photos – and (wow) I have never seen a turtle with such a long nose!
Have a good time in Florida and enjoy the warmth!
November greetings from Austria!

Florida in winter sounds appealing, but I’m not sure I’m hardy enough to endure the summers there! I hope you find you’re delighted with your new abode year-round! Best wishes, and thank you for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2023/11/last-post-from-longwood-gardens-for.html

Oh wow these are some amazing images of beautiful critters!
Don’t worry, you’ll soon acclimate and find temps lower than 70 a frigid day. (High of 68? That’s parka weather.)
Your photos are amazing. I especially love the ones of the tricolored heron, the turtle, the moon, and the sunset.
Absolutely lovely and such awesome pictures. Love all the nature and bird pics.
I visited you via Last post from Longwood Gardens (for a while anyway!!)
I linked up this week with = 33. Come and join us at #WordlessWednesday #Photography Wednesday – Saturday. You will find the info under BLOGGING
Your photos are incredible, Sharon.
Florida in winter sounds interesting!
Happy Wednesday!
Very nice set of pictures. I am always amused by what people consider cold or hot. As a kid (in the UK) I would have thought that temperatures over 104 F were not possible – but now I live it! (Although that is way too hot!)

Amazing colours
I lived in Florida for nearly two years, back in my 20’s. Loved the winters, but not the rest of the year. I learned, between Florida and my years in other places (including New York City and the snowy Southern Tier of New York) that no where is perfect. It’s all what makes you happy, and if you’ve found your happy place, go for it! Florida has beautiful sunsets, and fascinating wildlife. Amazing pictures.
You have a beautiful new back yard. I love all your Florida birds and photos.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.
Located near Chicago but guess what next week is suppose to be in the 50s. Can you believe it? Unusual. We did have our first snow storm, icy staircase, clear the windshield of snow. First snow is so pretty. Then, not so much. I am with you on that one. Decision is to rent a place in NM or AZ for February of stay here another winter. So many decisions! I really enjoyed following your footprints this week. Such beautiful photographs of birds, sky and turtle. Wowza!
The sun, the moon, the sky, the water, the critters. Yep you are in Florida!!
Pretty journey 😀
I love Florida! My favorite part is always all the birds! Such beautiful photos!
