Chickens. One can’t talk about Kauai without a cluck or two. The flightless birds are kick’in up dust everywhere. We loved the fabulous fowl, but for us, it was the year of the Mai Thai at our favorite happy hour in Lihue. We drank sacred liquid and swam in it too, snorkeling the shallow waters near Poipu Beach. I had a particular travel book in my beach bag that year, about an exotic location where people flew through the treetops on a new invention called a zipline and then had afternoon tea with monkeys. Can you guess? Costa Rica. Now, I’ve lost count of our visits to Central America. But since I think we traveled to Kauai in 2007, and we’ve traveled to Central America every year after, that means we just booked our 17th trip!
I made calendars for our trips to Hawaii. Time flies when you’re having fun.
You’ve had so many fabulous trips!
Hawaii is a great place to visit, so many beautiful sights to see!
Have a wonderful week!
Beautiful photos! I love these images.
Thanks for joining us this week at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2023/08/the-ever-changing-sky.html
Sounds like that was a great trip.
Love your calendars – such a wonderful memento of your amazing trips.
Happy Wednesday!
Snorkeling must the greatest fun there. Mmmmh, I`m a little bit jealous. Hope you understand my joke. But really, I love swimming most.
Happy MosaicMonday
Thank you so much being part at

Have a fine week. Greetings by Heidrun
How nice to remember your trips with a calendar. I’ve been meaning to do that and give them away to family as Christmas presents. I think I have time this year to do that.
Worth a Thousand Words
what a nice way to remember you trips (calendar)!
You make Kauai sound like a paradise. I’ve only been once briefly years ago and I plan on going again.
