My First Day of School

I feel like this is my first day of school on planet Pleione, a sizzling
planet from my novel, The Levitation Game. I’m not in Kansas anymore. WordPress
is weird.

I need to learn WordPress because my suitcase is packed, and I have already
given notice to my long-term love, blogger. Blogger, you’ve been my easy,
comfortable, familiar photo-sharing and keyboard travel connection for over a
decade. You will be missed.

But it isn’t all bad; I have a book to birth. That’s heady stuff. I’m
unpacking Sharon’s Souvenirs here at Sharon Wagner Books, and don’t worry; my
blog will still follow my traveling feet more than my book. Sadly, I don’t
think my link party will continue.

Eventually, I will have an optional newsletter for subscribers to inform
them of my impending book launch; a once a month highlight reel of events, and
such. This way, Sharon’s Souvenirs won’t resemble an author’s Instagram
account, where every image is a selling-point still-life with a book, a book and
a coffee cup, or book and a dog, and so on. I hate that kind of relentless
promotion.

However, since I don’t have a newsletter yet, I must expel more fun news
that’s simmering inside my pot of posole. Soon, I’ll be awarding free
Conspiracy Theory games to several lucky email subscribers. I’m thrilled to be pairing
