Pat from the Mille Fiori Favoriti blog won last month’s newsletter board game giveaway. Hooray! I’ll be revealing my book cover soon. So stay tuned in 2023.
Other travel related news involves cancelation chaos, and angry gringos. Nuff said.
Even so, we’ve arrived in Costa Rica delayed, but not dismayed! I haven’t had time to create a new post, so please revisit the Iguana Lodge and the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica—year unknown. However, I do know that it was memorable in many intoxicating ways:
- Panama is only a short—as the crow flies—swim away.
- Osa is papaya-jam packed with birds and critters, like tiny squirrel monkeys.
- There are more locals than tourists.
- If an oncoming car flashes its lights, it most likely means there’s a cow on the road ahead.
- Once you stay in Osa, you’ll never forget the cranky, ubiquitous squawk of Scarlet Macaws. They are sizeable red fighter jets of the bird world, flying like Tom Cruise and his friends trying to save us from Russian aggression.
- You’ll find the best ocean-side pastureland instead of condo land.
- It’s Costa Rica, so it’s fantastic!
Stay tuned for more Costa Rica, 2023! My next newsletter giveaway arrives in your inbox on Monday, January, 23rd. But only if you sign up. 🙂
Hello,

Wow! I would love to be there too. Oh the things you will see! ENJOY!
I was thrilled to get the Conspiracy Theory Game(s) as they sent the full size and the travel edition. It looks intriguing to play–I know we will have fun with it–thank you, Sharon.
The weather in Costa Rica looks delightful and it must be so interesting to see all the different animals and birds there and enjoy the quiet and lush green surroundings. We are itching to travel again….hopefully soon!
…this beach bum misses the beach!
More locals than tourists? That’s a win.
Such wonderful pictures! I like the humor in your words. I am sure your book will be a delightful read. Looking forward to the book cover launch. Happy new year!
What great photos and what a beautiful nature there.
I like the sun and the parrot, we only see squirrel monkeys in a zoo.
Greetings Irma

Great photos, dear Sharon!
I’m glad that you have such a strong connection to beautiful Costa Rica! Among other things, we were also on the Osa peninsula – yes, exactly, and the macaws there make a hell of a wonderful noise!!! :-DDD
Oh, and we also had severe plane problems on our return trip from Costa Rica… (see my current post)
All the best from Austria,
Traude

Glad you are in Costa Rica and enjoying yourself. You saw a horse. a monkey, a cow, and a parrot already. I zoned into the sun and the palm trees and could almost smell the sea. Enjoy!
Gosh, how incredible! Lucky you!
