Wild Osa

In other news, cancelation chaos. Angry gringos. Nuff said. Even so, we’ve arrived! Costa Rica 2023 is underway.

Pat from the Mille Fiori Favoriti blog won last month’s newsletter board game giveaway. Hooray! I’ll be revealing my book cover soon. So stay tuned in 2023.

Other travel related news involves cancelation chaos, and angry gringos. Nuff said.

Even so, we’ve arrived in Costa Rica delayed, but not dismayed! I haven’t had time to create a new post, so please revisit the Iguana Lodge and the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica—year unknown. However, I do know that it was memorable in many intoxicating ways:

  1. Panama is only a short—as the crow flies—swim away.
  2. Osa is papaya-jam packed with birds and critters, like tiny squirrel monkeys.
  3. There are more locals than tourists.
  4. If an oncoming car flashes its lights, it most likely means there’s a cow on the road ahead.
  5. Once you stay in Osa, you’ll never forget the cranky, ubiquitous squawk of Scarlet Macaws. They are sizeable red fighter jets of the bird world, flying like Tom Cruise and his friends trying to save us from Russian aggression.
  6. You’ll find the best ocean-side pastureland instead of condo land.
  7. It’s Costa Rica, so it’s fantastic!
Horse parking. Ha!
Yum!
Sunrise. 🙂
Bonfire beach party.

Stay tuned for more Costa Rica, 2023! My next newsletter giveaway arrives in your inbox on Monday, January, 23rd. But only if you sign up. 🙂

The weather in Costa Rica looks delightful and it must be so interesting to see all the different animals and birds there and enjoy the quiet and lush green surroundings. We are itching to travel again….hopefully soon!

  3. What great photos and what a beautiful nature there.
I like the sun and the parrot, we only see squirrel monkeys in a zoo.
    Greetings Irma

I’m glad that you have such a strong connection to beautiful Costa Rica! Among other things, we were also on the Osa peninsula – yes, exactly, and the macaws there make a hell of a wonderful noise!!! :-DDD
Oh, and we also had severe plane problems on our return trip from Costa Rica… (see my current post)
