When you visit the winter homes of former famous friends, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, be sure to have a free afternoon ahead. The sprawling grounds and museum are worth an extended stay and stroll. My favorite takeaway was Mina Edison’s term “Home Executive.” That’s how Thomas Edison’s second wife described her role in managing many busy households. I love it! A sign reads, “Given to Edison by Firestone in 1925. Circumference of aerial roots 390 ft.” Wow! What an epic Banyan tree!
The tree was brought from India in a butter tub and was 2″ in diameter and four feet high when given by Harvey Firestone and planted by Edison in 1925. It is a member of the rubber family.
The homes were festive and decorated for Christmas.
Mosaic Monday!
“I have not failed. I’ve found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” ~ Thomas Edison
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” ~ Henry Ford

Happy New Year!
The greatest gift you can give me this season would be a literary rave, rating, or review! If you haven’t read TLG, do it in 2025. 🙂
Fantastic photos, all of them, but I’m stunned at the banyan tree! WOW!
