Creepy cemetery month has arrived. October is a big month for me, with my Halloween newsletter spooktacular hitting inboxes (so please sign up on my homepage; you might win a treat), a sunny Florida condo to investigate, and a supernatural book to launch. I’m game for it all!
I lost most of my cemetery photos from Puerto Rico. But I can still give you a taste of rotting…streets. A 16th-century fortress surrounds Old San Juan, and tourists can explore every ancient stone, urine soaked watch tower, darkened cubby, and iron cannon. It’s nirvana for intrepid, curious, and traveling feet.
One of these is not like the others…
The view from San Cristobal Fortress.
The blue iron pavers are a beloved walking highlight.
An outdoor litterbox. Ha!
Now it makes sense. >^..^<

The cemetery at San Felipe del Morro is packed with souls, so stay tuned for a tour of the fortress at a later date. And stay tuned for the rest of Halloween month!
This blurb is special to my heart. After two authors left me in the lurch, Emily came through and loved my book! Only three more weeks until I change my preorder link to an Amazon one. Hooray, it’s underway! Click the blurb to preorder.
A lot of fun walking with you!
Hello,
Some of these are familiar sights, we had one day in San Juan during our Eastern Caribbean cruise.
I like the igaunas, kitties and the Monk Parakeet is pretty. Neat views of the doors and balconies and the cemetery. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead!
Beautiful captures all!
You’ve got quite the eye for images.
Fantastic pictures! The interplay of colors, light, and shadows is really appealing to me.
great images.
What gorgeous, colourful shots. But the iguana for the win! #TravelTuesday
Lots of neat pic of Old San Juan. The parakeet was strange hanging out with the pigeons.
I enjoyed this virtual travel. Congratulation to your book publication.
Happy MosaicMonday

Your eye for detail in your photos is truly impressive!
The iguana shot is a winner!
A wonderful collection of interesting, colorful sights. And so many cats!!
Old San Juan looks incredible. So photogenic! Wonderful post.
…they sure aren’t afraid of color!
It looks like a very interesting and colourful city to visit. Unfortunately, my only aquaintance with San Juan was to make a connecting flight there many years ago.
Iguana photograph is top notch especially with Halloween coming up soon. Appears like Iguanas are invading the world. LOL! I am stretching my imagination today. Fun! Fun! Fun blog. That bird better not gain weight or it won’t fit through the doorway. So adorable! Have a great weekend.
Hello Sharon :=)
San Juan city is a colourful place, and I see that you have a good eye for the beautiful, strange, and interesting from the shots you have taken. The outdoor kitty litter box, the Parakite amongst the pigeons, and the one in the space in the w,all. The Blue door and tiles, the beautiful sunset. You couldn’t miss the umbrellas:=) but how pretty they look. The cemetery with view of the sea, and the Iguana and sculpture, which are both so unique. I enjoyed looking at all your photos, and before I forget congratulations on the publication of your book.
All the best
Sonjia.
Such a beautiful city, so much color. I love the blue paving stones and all those cats!
