This post is short, but I still have so many photos to reveal from Utah this summer. Today, I’m sharing our hike through Broken Arch and along the Fiery Furnace rock fins. The park is surreal, sculpted by Mother Nature, and after the collapse of the double arch in Glen Canyon over the weekend, not invincible to the elements. See it while you can! But if you can’t, follow my feet…
The small Sand Dune Arch.
Beyond is the La Sal mountain range.
This raven posed majestically.
Click the rocks for Mosaic Monday.
I took a book photo here because this overlook was close to the parking lot, and I didn’t want to carry it with me on hikes for social media shots.
I have happy news this month. My short story, Default 666, is an honorable mention in the 93rd Annual Writer’s Digest Competition. There were 3,571 entries from 44 countries.
Stay tuned for more from Moab!

Wonderful pics and finds! You should consider becoming a professional explorer.
Wow! What a beautiful place.
I just heard on the news where an arch like this finally collapsed. I wonder if this is the one?
Thank you for sharing these lovely photos at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2024/08/a-few-more-details-inside-pennsylvania.html
I love the colors of the rocks. Stunning scenery.
These are great! Very beautiful
WOW, would love to visit and do a hike through this area, but at the moment this armchair travel will have to do.

This really does look a lot like central Australia – except for the snow! Would love to visit.

First, congratulations on your story being recognized.
I love your Utah photos so post all of them please. That double arch collapsing really shocked a lot of people, including me. Shouldn’t though.
It’s been almost 50 years since I visited Utah, and your photos brought back so many memories. We never did visit Arches National Park, so I doubly enjoyed your pictures. Alana ramblinwitham
Just gorgeous. Really makes me want to visit the area. I heard about the arch collapse, so yes, see them while you can!
Surreal is the right Word, I believe. But this landscape is full with life. And I enjoyed reading. Hope, I See more of this area.
Thank you for sharing at MM.

Fantastic shots.
These images are pure temptation!
Beautiful photos. There really is nothing like the colors of the desert rocks and mountains. Hey! You could link this to Shadow Shot Sunday too, as I love that shadow of the dead tree! Ravens and crows are my favorites. That is one great shot of the raven.

Oh I love Arches NP. I don’t think I’ve ever done this trail though. It was sad to hear about the collapse of one of Utah’s arches. Gorgeous Photos.
