Dominical Beaches: Camera

"In the United States we're thankful for the many Costa Ricans who contribute to our prosperity and our liberty. In my best Tica, 'Pura vida.'" ~ Barack Obama

Pura Vida: pure life” or “full of life,” but it represents an entire national philosophy of optimism, gratitude, and taking things easy.

The beaches around Dominical are my favorite places to live my best life, walk at a slow pace, and watch the sunset with a full heart. It’s very easy to enjoy the beaches here. All you need are chairs and few low hanging trees for good shade. We gratefully share the beach with locals and local critters alike. Thirsty? Just grab the ladder you have stashed in your beach bag and collect some coconuts for the family.

We parked behind the beach and returned to find someone lurking around our car. The bird was looking in the driver’s side mirror, possibly seeing another bird and potential rival. Himself!

I love this photo. Pura Vida!
