These days, adventure for me means a slow and steady hike. My ziplining days are over. We plan to snorkel near Cano Island in Costa Rica next year, and I’m worried the fins will hurt my arthritic feet. Sigh. I’m not even that old, but I’d have difficulty navigating river rapids in a raft like I used to because of my darn arthritic wrists and elbows. Today, enjoy someone else’s adventure. Look for the gliders and climbers hanging out in many of the following photos. And, as always, follow my feet in beautiful Moab, Utah!
All of the following petroglyphs adorn this big rock.

Life = Ups and downs.
If you’ve subscribed to my author newsletter, today, you’ll learn about my nerd crush, Neil DeGrasse Tyson. He has a new book and look at the portal action, just like on my cover. Does this mean that great minds think alike? I certainly hope so. Don’t forget to subscribe! I have one more newsletter planned for December 16th in 2024.
Wonderful photographs!
Beautiful location. I’m with you on “adventure”. None of that even sounds fun.
Intriguing petroglyphs. I wonder what story lies behind them.
Yes, I know very well what you mean wit arthrosis! Do what you can with fun.
Another wonderful contribution for MosaicMonday. Thank you very much for your participation. …very interesting to read!
There is a lot to discover every time and I like to read through the posts at my leisure to appreciate the pictures and text. It is a varied journey, full of surprises and lots of history.
Greetings from Heidrun
I haven’t yet seen petroglyphs.
Coffee is on.
Hello!
Good cheer to all on this beautiful day!!!!!
Good luck 🙂
Sharon – stunning landscapes and amazing petroglyphs! Sorry to hear that arthritis is limiting your activities …
Those petroglyphs are amazing, and Moab looks so beautiful. I totally get the shift to slower adventures—there’s something special about soaking it all in at your own pace. Cano Island sounds exciting too; hope the fins are kind to your feet!
Beautiful shots.
As you know, I’m fascinated by petroglyphs and pictographs. You captured some beauties here! Sorry to hear about your arthritis. As a fellow sufferer, you have my sympathy.
These are familiar sights. I’m lucky to see this place in person. I would love to revisit if I get lucky.
