Sunrise in the desert.
Last week was an anomaly. I was so busy gathering and polishing words for my monthly newsletter and my typical morning marketing side hustle that I didn’t get to my blog at all. One less blog post cluttering up the internet. Today, I bring you dry, bleached, sizzling, and scenic Page, Arizona. The town is adjacent to the Navajo Nation and features natural highlights such as Antelope Canyon, the Glen Canyon Dam, Horseshoe Bend, and Lake Powell. Of course, we saw it all! But my favorite memory was simply soaking up the white-hot rock vistas from the balcony in our rental. I find the massive rock art sculptures of the Southwest to be mesmerizing in their soft or saturated colors and churning, irregular shapes. Follow my feet…

I left TLG in Kanab, Utah last year. The next time I leave my book somewhere, I’ll be (hopefully) gifting Chorus of Crows to a future traveler! I can’t wait to share the heartwarming editorial review with you that I recieved last week for my new book. Mosaic Monday.

Behind the dam, the vista drops 1,000 feet.

These guys have something to crow about just like me!

Moon magic.
Stay tuned for the last leg of our trip in Kanab, Utah.

Hello Sharon,
Hubby and I enjoyed our visit to Page Arizona, your photos bring back some great memories.
The lake and canyon are a beautiful sight. Love the crow image. Beautiful views and skies, great photos!
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
The colors of the rocks are just gorgeous. It’s a great landscape. Too bad it’s so blisteringly hot for half the year.
I enjoyed my visit to Arizona, specially Antelope Canyon. It is when preparing for the trip that I first heard of slot canyons. they are amazing.
Wonderful pictures of Page, dear Sharon. I also have fond memories of that place. The most special thing, though, was that we (by chance) arrived there just in time for Balloon Day (“Balloon Regatta”)… If you’d like to read more about it, you can find two blog posts here: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/search?q=page
All the best from Austria, Traude

One less blog post? I’d say the internet missed out! But it sounds like the trade-off for moon magic and Arizona vistas was well worth it. Congrats on the review for Chorus of Crows!
Marvelous photos!
Arizona is a magical place and I have been there a few times. You have some beautiful views! Thank you for linking up.
I never got tired of the desert in and around Page. It’s been decades since I’ve been and its time to go back!
I’m so old I remember Page before the dam! From the start of Lake Powell houseboats were the scene and from your photos they still are.
Antelope Canyon is on my bucket list.
Great photos, as usual.
Hello Sharon,
What a great area is this. So amazing this view over a wonderful landscape. Your pictures are fantastic.
This must be nice to be in real. Nice post Sharon!!
Many greetings,
Marco
Bellas imagenes. Me gustaría conocer ese lugar. Te mando un beso.
Hi Sharon,
This is a wonderful place, and what views you have there.
I wish you a lovely weekend.
All the best, Irma
I’ve never seen water and boats in a desert before! Incredible!
Holy Moly…..I can’t believe all those boats! So much to see, the moon, the crows, plus Lake Powell.
Page, Arizona looks breathtaking through your eyes. There’s something timeless about standing on a balcony, simply taking in the vast rock formations and the play of light across the desert.
Utah does have beautiful canyon lands, and I miss the western United States greatly. You display it beautifully. I’m glad your book is doing well.
Love the moon shot!
The views are spectacular.
Your photos beautifully captured the magic of Page.
