Calgon, take me away! I bet the Ad Executives behind that memorable commercial had Hacienda Orosi in mind when they created the old slogan. In January, high elevation Orosi, Costa Rica, is cool and crisp, so the mineral hot springs feel like a delicious cup of cocoa savored near grandma’s hearth—at Christmas. Yes, it feels that good. The volcanic heat levels range from tepid to wild (wild is fitting because we experienced our first earthquake here), with nary a bad view in sight. The town of Orosi occupies a stunning corner of Costa Rica near San Jose. We explored it two years ago, and I’m finally sharing it now.
Follow my feet…
But the hot springs are the real draw. Bubbles not included. That’s me!
These are beautiful pictures!
The hot spring looks so cosy and calming with the lovely nature around. The farm photos are good too!

Sharon – I like this sort of hot springs, where things have been kept a little more natural. Looks beautiful and relaxing! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!
Oh, those hot springs look so inviting, surrounded by lovely countryside and you found some great creatures to photograph.

Ahhhh, Costa Rica! Looks like paradise to me. Never been there. Crossing my fingers and toes that someday I will get there. The hotsprings looks like a wonderful place to relax and let go. Enjoy!
Now that looks like a place I would like to visit! Thank you.
Another place in Costa Rica I wanted to see.

Sharon I’m so glad to find your new blog and I really do like the look of it. And I love learning about this beautiful spot in Costa Rica , what a great place to hang out.
Sure hope all your Florida family and friends are OK after the unwelcome visit from Ian. You are certainly right that your Flovember will not be the same, at least for a while. Ours either.. We have our fingers crossed for full recovery of all our favorite places (and our house ).
Nature’s hot springs are so delightful! This one looks beautiful!
Colorado has many hot springs and we’ve also enjoyed soaking in many of them.
