Miscellanious Moon and Monuments

"Money speaks in Utah." ~
Robert Redford

I think the views are priceless!

A full moon rises above Bluff’s mesa.

I’ve reached the tail end of photos and activities from Utah in 2024, with 2025 left to highlight next. After today’s post, there’s only one humble post remaining. Follow my post-surgery feet (elevated and healing with no travel treks planned for months) around Bluff, and check out the leftover sights, arches, and petroglyphs worth a look-see.

This humble rock wall has a secret…

Sand Island Petroglyphs! Do you see the energy swirl like on my book cover? Mosaic Monday.

Book promo shots are mandatory!

Goosenecks State Park. Cool! But really, it was hot.

Mandatory book promo at the arches of Bears Ears!

Bears Ears

Stay tuned!

  3. These are wonderful and I love that you included your book in many photos. Well done. I want to GO!!!

  4. Great shots! I love the creative way you’re promoting your book. Placing it among those incredible landscapes is a brilliant idea. It makes me want to grab a copy and find a scenic spot to read it myself. Hope your recovery is going well and you’ll be back on the road soon!

  5. Oh I hope you are up and about and trekking soon! These landscapes are so dramatic. We have a natural bridge like that in Western Australia too – no doubt in other places. I am glad you have been able to use your time going through your images and sharing with us. Take care. i am visiting you from Mosaic Monday.

  6. Terrific photos. I’m partial to hummers, so of course, the photos of that sweet bird were my favorite.

  7. That’s a gorgeous arch. It looks huge! I love coming across rock art sites. I’ve seen “energy swirl” motifs a number of times, and read that they might refer to springs or water sources. A mystery we will likely never unravel. Hope you have a full recovery!

  8. Such wonderful scenery and captures. The (black chinned?) hummingbirds are a bonus. I’ve only seen petroglyphs in person once in my life, up in Canada – they are so intriguing.
