Page, AZ and Beyond…

Bugs and Buttes!

Day 10

The famous Horseshoe Bend was accomplished before my illness. Yay!

This post continues the southwest action from last week. The main difference excludes external temperature for internal, meaning I got sick. Sigh.

Follow my germs…

Day 11

Wahweap Overlook. At least I managed a scenic drive on this day.

Day 12

The Beehive Trail. I never left my bed, so my husband hiked alone and took a book pic!

Day 13 and Mosaic Monday

A Lake Powell boat trip. I was so nauseous from my cold and flu. Ugh. But it rocked. Ugh.

Day 14

The Glen Canyon Dam.

Day 15

A new morning in Kanab, Utah! Stay tuned for the rest of the trip next week!

  1. Sorry you were sick at the time!! That’s no good.

When I was a kid and when we traveled through Page we got to see Glen Canyon Dam getting built. When it was completed they had tours of the power house down below. That was pretty cool and a long elevator ride.

  2. Dear Sharon,
oh wow – it looks like you visited many of the same places we explored during our road trips in 2012 and 2024: Monument Valley, Vegas, Red Rock Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell, and Page… Some locations we only saw the first time, others only on the second trip. We were in the Page area both times – and believe it or not, we missed the Horseshoe Bend both times by accidentally driving past it 😝.
But in 2012, we were lucky enough to catch the wonderful Balloon Regatta in Page – if you’re curious, you can see my blog post about it here:

So sorry to hear you fell ill – that’s the last thing anyone wants on a trip! I truly hope you’re feeling much better now and are back to full strength.
Sending all the best from Austria and wishing you a happy weekend!
