Duluth: Fall 2022

Leftover Duluth, Minnesota photos seem like humble scraps after a month of glorious Costa Rica highlights.

Leftover Duluth, Minnesota photos seem like humble scraps after a month of glorious Costa Rica highlights. But please follow my feet around my Lake Superior photo safari. These photos originated from our annual September trip. That’s when my husband completes the Northshore Inline Marathon. This year, it rained, which made for a slippery affair. But he persevered and finished with a good time, like always.

Duluth meets New York!
This is a mosaic from a previous trip. Duluth has so much to offer. We always have a blast and can’t wait to return. It’s Minnesota nice.

P.S. I haven’t announced an official book cover reveal on social media, but you can be the first to see it on my books page. It’s up! Preorders will begin on March, 1st. 🙂

  1. So I had to go to Google to find out what the Inline Marathon was! Quite the event. Does your husband skate, run, … or everything? We liked the short time we spent in Duluth that one year. I recognize some of the sights you show!

  2. I see a beautiful landscape on your collage, dear Sharon, and in the current photos I see wonderful murals – I especially love them. That means you visited two amazing places in a row, first Duluth and then Dominical. That’s really PURA VIDA! Costa Rica will be happy to see you again next year.

  3. Duluth is interesting! There is beauty everywhere! I like the Statue of Liberty replica! I visited the original quite a few times over the years and would probably have a hard time managing the zillion steps now.

  4. Sharon, thanks for coming over to Marmelade Gypsy this week. And I’m glad to check in on Duluth! Our youngest worked there briefly before he was transferred — briefly enough that we never got there to to see it! You have some wonderful photos!

  5. I’ve been to Duluth a few times and I recognize some of your photos. I don’t recall the murals on the planter boxes or buildings, nor the waterfall. I would have liked to have seen that.
