I love this photo.
We spent the fourth like we always do, exploring the environs hugging the southern tip of Lake Superior. My photos are similar year after year, but it’s still fun to take them. It’s even more fun to ride the bike trails on my ebike. We spent most of our time outside, but we did see Disclosure Day in the local theatre. Have you read The Levitation Game? If you like Aliens, you have to read my grounded sci-fi novel that’s really a jungle adventure at heart, with a loveable alien character. But for now, follow my feet…

Duluth is so far north that peonies are just beginning to bloom!

The Rustic Inn serves a mean five layer chocolate pie.

The hilly, twisty and wild Gitchi Gami bike trail.

Gooseberry Falls

I stacked my first cairn in Canal Park!

My husband made one, too.

A lake monster flew over Duluth! Run for your life! It’s really just a spider hanging in our window. I love when we get a lift bridge view.

We watched the fireworks from our hotel room. It was the best of the midwest.

The Willard Munger Trail.

A promo cut from Duluth’s basalt rock!
