Day 22
Time isn’t perfect in Costa Rica. Life gets in the way of wherever we roam. Often, I’m exhausted and feeling varying levels of nausea in Central America. The soft but firm sand on the beaches is nirvana to walk on, and my heart longs for it when we’re away, but my arthritis is so severe it’s still tricky. Living in the unrelenting heat can dehydrate anyone, even those who carry the trendiest water jugs. But I still love it. I love every red hot minute, and we try to squeeze enjoyment from dawn to dusk.
The exotic sounds impact you as soon as you wake up: Tree branches rustling with busy capuchin monkeys, sad-sounding mewling toucans, droning cicadas, and pounding waves. Howler monkeys howl. The air always carries a melody of bird song and the frequent feisty squawk of scarlet macaws. The feel is humid. The taste is ripe, like a papaya. The smell is spicey, a mix of floral and the unfamiliar. Bugs scurry. Since my blog is predominately visual, all visitors know precisely what I see. Beauty. Follow my feet…

Day 25
Day 26
Just before moonset over the ocean, the moon glowed orange like I’d purchased it in the produce aisle. This isn’t a photoshop trick. If anything, I reduced the orange color to amp up detail.
Day 27
My beloved Dominicalito.
Day 28 and Mosaic Monday.

Beautiful shots, especially the Scarlet Macaw pair. Nice to see the cannonball flower which is so common in the Hindu temples here.
I just love your photos
The moon…. the beautiful colors. But very hot it seems to be.
Get well!
It may be sad to be gone, but at least you have the pictures to remind you. And you can look forward to going back.
