We’re back in Florida! The cats didn’t hide behind the toilet like last year, terrified of their new surroundings and emerging with spider webs adhered to their whiskers. They knew they were home. I love the briny, earthy smell here. Of course, it’s warm. Palm fronds frolic, and moss dangles. Mockingbirds serenade the day.
The power has flickered on and off a few times, but Hurricane Milton didn’t damage our condo. Here is the last from my latest highlight reel…
Damage from Hurricane Ian.
My book had its first birthday on October 17! It’s been a year of thrills and chills, perfect for a spooky October day.
Congrats on the book baby. Also WOW on the bird with a fish. What a fantastic shot!! #SaturdayCritters
Glad your condo is still standing. Happy book birthday.
Gorgeous photography!
Happy bookversary!

Take care, enjoy your day and the rest of the weel!
Glad you are safe and your condo is ok. Great pics! Love the bird and fish pic. Watch out for that alligator.
Nice to hear that your condo made it through the hurricane unscathed.
Worth a Thousand Words
Happy book birthday to you. Florida has such beautiful scenery and I’m glad your condo made it through Milton. I love your pictures- I think they are all my favorites.
Great photos, as usual. Glad your place is fine.
Oh my gosh that Osprey with his dinner — marvelous picture. Loving the early (for us) glimpse of Florida. Enjoy! Keep the storms away until we get there.
