Like there are six degrees of Kevin Bacon, you’re always six steps from a hiking trail in Sedona, Arizona. Trails transcend energy portals; they loop, pivot, ascend, and cross. They inspire awe. Follow my feet…
Courthouse Rock
The Broken Arrow Trail.
Books are another kind of portal.
The skies glowed like red hot embers over Chimney Rock. In Sedona, red rocks are like petrified fire.

Beautiful photos and landscapes. I have never been to Sedona, maybe someday.
Love the pretty Jay. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post.

The color on the landscape is stunning.
Stunning rock formations and picturesque vistas!
Happy Tuesday, Sharon!
Kudos on your excellent photo compositions. Nice to see the Jay.
I first went to Sedona about forty years ago, when it was still relatively unspoiled. The last time I was there about fifteen years ago it had become the tee shirt and baseball cap capital of the world, overrun by tourists. The headline in a local newspaper was “Californicators Stay Away!” I suppose this is the inevitable fate of beautiful places.
I have spent one memorable day in Sedona – I would love to go back. Thanks for triggering some very good memories. SM
Dear Sharon, these are fantastic impressions from Sedona!
Unfortunately, we only spent a few hours in the city more than 10 years ago – here is my old post: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2013/02/usa-12-tag-flagstaff-sedona-oak-creek. html – and not a single step led us to a hiking trail. I am all the more pleased about the wonderful pictures that you captured and brought with you for us.
All the best from Austria, Traude

Beautiful pics of the rocks and landscape. Love the blue jay pic. I visited Sedona a few years ago and loved the surroundings.
I love Sedona and the funky vibe. When I was a kid we had family friends there and it was just another town.
I never tire of looking at Sedona’s orange mountains and blue skies. Beautiful!
The spirit of Sedona lives within me still. I enjoyed tip toeing through this absolutely beautiful area with you.
Sedona has been on my bucket list for a long time. Someday I’ll get there.
